How-To Guide
How to give a personalized comic book as a gift
A personalized comic is one of the rare gifts that's both deeply personal AND quick to make. Here's how to do it well.
Steps
- Get a good photo. Ask the parent (or the kid themselves) for a clear face photo.
- Write a thoughtful prompt. Use the kid's interests. Mention something only you would know — their imaginary friend, their favorite snack, their cat's name.
- Generate, then print. Take the QuickComic PDF to a print shop or print at home on heavy paper. Bind with two staples or a thin folder.
- Wrap and present. Wrap it like a real comic. The big reveal is them seeing their name on the cover.
Tips
- Heavier paper makes a huge difference in feel.
- Hand-write a note inside the front cover.
